Day 16 Blog Every Day

 

Day 16 of the May challenge is something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it.

 

I think that my "lot in life" is probably one of the easier lots.... I have a good job, a way to pay for school, the best husband, a great family, a healthy family. 

One thing that has been some kind of lot, is being a wife. Being a wife is hard work. Different work. I don't know if I knew what I was getting into...  but, as hard as it is for me, and as hard as I am for Brad, I am so happy. I am so glad I am married to the best man around, and we are Happi. We are 1 year next month! WHAT.

I love being Mrs. Hawkins. 

Fourth: Quote day

 

 My funny Brad wrote this once for an elementary school project. I can't remember if it was for a short story or a poem or what, but I wrote it down the day we were going through he boxes at his moms house. I think it was for a poem. I also think it is funny, and cute, and smart all at the same time.

8:30pm hammer time

I have always liked to buy shelves. I know that is a weird thing to collect... I mean, I didn't even hang them all up at once. I usually had 2 or 3 laying around for a "maybesomedayproject". 

UNTIL YESTERDAY

 Yesterday, Brad and I painted my collected shelves ALL AFTERNOON. We watched WALL-E and The Incredibles. In all, I would say it was a very great day. After we painted them, our best friends the Knights came over and we spent the night deciding where to hang all the shelves. It was def a group effort. I am way glad they came over, or might have made way to many holes in the wall trying and re-trying. Luckily, I am so happy with the first try! ( ok, we did have to move the mirror once. but that was it! ) I am way happy with how the colors turned out, and the way they all magically fit on ONE WALL. Cool cool.

We also listened to the boys play the guitars, played with baby Emmett- the cutest baby out there, ate delicious Oreo pie  and watched The Count of Monte Cirsto. Which is a really great movie, I would highly recommend it. SATURDAY SUCCESS. CHECK.

We painted all day!!

I took this picture this morning. Better lighting than 8:30 at night.

I gave him a kiss for being the best helper.

I have the greatest husband. He hammered nails into the wall till 9:00 at night. FOR ME!

Do I look like a girl whose husband just got a new job?? CAUSE I AM. Brad got a new job and I am so so so so so proud of him. He totally deserves this. He starts Monday. YAY. We also ordered a new messenger bag for him, and his new job. Because everyone deserves a new a new bag with a new job.

 BEYONCE WAS GREAT. The game was fine, but Beyonce. The food was awesome, and Beyonce was great. Killed it.

This is a really great blog, There is a guy, who has 2 of the stupidest girls living above him. Apparently they have really bad flooring because he hears the stupid things they say and writes them in this blog. I highly recommend reading this if you are having a stupid feeling day. It will change your mind with the first 2 posts.




Brad took me on a date to Chili's tonight! And also to get some shampoo! Nice.

Also, finished the daily coyote. Best ever. Also, started listening to the Lord of the Rings. So fun. Sorry Brad.....

Kim decided today, that my spirit animal is a coyote. I won't argue with that.  She gave me the best book to read, well actually listen to. I'm listening to it on my phone and it is so fun! I get to drive to work and walk to school, and lay on my bed not exerting any energy.... and read at the same time! Man, why didn't I start this sooner.

The book I am listening to is called The Daily Coyote. It is about a girl who moves to Wyoming all by herself, and lives there. She meets this hunky cowboy, which they fall in love of course, and she raises a baby coyote that he found for her. The best part is, is that ITS A TRUE STORY. She has a blog with pictures and everything. I would highly suggest it to anyone. And I would suggest that you listen to it. The reader has a great voice. It is so beautiful. The whole thing. She also has a cat. Named Eli. Its a perfect life.

How could you not want this??? I just had to get this out of my system. but... we all know that just blogging about it wont work all the way.

By the by, my best friend got married. She is married. MEGAN IS MARRIED!!!! Congrats to Megan and Trevor Carter! Everything about that day was perfect. <3

Brad got me flowers for Valentines day. Best. Boyfriend. Ever. That's all I ever wanted. All the flowers are belong to me!!

best rescue of the year award.

If you call me to come pick you up from the ER, just know I am prone to fainting once I get there. There doesn't even need to be any needles, blood, dead things, or oozing. I will most likely faint... twice. If you call me for rescue, also call for a back up rescue. It will make a great story though. So if your ER visit isn't as entertaining as you expected it to be, just give me a call, I'll do some fainting and stuff, and everyone will have a great story to tell later on.

The two things I thought about most while I was laying on the bed in the ER was the tv show Scrubs, and the Zombie apocalypse.

i also got a whole week at bear lake. the happiest lake on earth. it was a much needed break of life, with my most favorite people everr.

also, trevor is gone. my best friend is gone. for two years. i've been acting pretty bitchy lately, and i'm blaming trevor. i'm not quite sure what to do. on the bright side, he is going to be a fabulous missionary, i  just know it.
